Day 59

Tired.

Should have slept more last night.

Church was good.

The kids were on fire today.. almost too much energy for me, ahh!

Watched the boys of PPS break in a new drummer.

He's good. I like him. And he seems like a decent dude which is super rad.

Hopefully if they can pull themselves in, write some good stuff, play some hot shows & get out of the local rut, they'll go far.

There's nothing wrong with the local scene, but if they want to get big they have to get noticed by more than just the 17 year old girls who think they're hot.. they can't stay there just because they like the attention.

There's a world out there that doesnt love them yet & won't unless they work it.

I hope they do well. They have the sound & the talent.

& the right attitude.

Well..

They have a good attitude toward getting famous. 

I don't like how some bands & people act though.

Call me old fashioned, but when someone gives you two years of their time, you don't slam them behind their back.. no matter how it went down, just be the bigger man and leave it, yeah? 

People need to do make decisions and work out what's going to be best for them in the long run, especially at the point these kids are at now. Life is getting a whole lot bigger than high school & shows.

Just let it go. Ya know?

&& when people help you out, you acknowledge that... you don't use then cruise. uncool. hmmmm.

Sometimes boys are worse than girls.

So, yeah.

Did that.

Slept on the couch between takes.

Attempted to make a fascinator for the races.

The realised I have a hat (op shop buy from 4 years ago) that goes perfectly.

Sweet.

Would still love a fascinator with a net over one eye.. HOT! 

But not enough time in the week to make that a reality.

NOTES TO SELF : 

Never update facebook status after 1am.

Think about how things look to others before you say/do/write.

Never fall asleep with stereo remote control in hand or on bed.

Stop calling people 'darl.' You are not 50 or bogan.
