Apparently I have a fructose malabsorption issue.

Which, in super basic terms, is my body not liking sugar.

I haven't updated for ages and i feel bad because lots has been happening and im not all emo any more, that was just a bad day..... but its late and i have to get up for work in like six hours.

My laptop battery exploded and i need a new one. interesting. Alex, thanks, & i like the template too! It grew on me. Holly Dyroff, this is my trying to get you another Google mention - also, you're amazing. My housemates are all leaving me this week! There will be about 30% of my house home for the next week til we all scatter for christmas day.. feels weird! i just paid 300 bucks and got new brakes on my car because there were actually none left. my mechanic was shocked nothing was more broken. i have Lady GaGa's song, Bad Romance in my head. I have finally finished all the tests i was doing and am just waiting on the results of the last ones. The bloods came back inconclusive. I can't wait til summer, beach mission/roadtrip is/are going to kick asssssssss. i am feeling soooo much better than before, thank ya Jesus! He's pretty awesome. Christmas is next week. Life is crazy. I am tired but happy. That's all.

BLAHHHHHHHHHH.

This is me, blowing massive 'screw you' raspberries at life and my physical self.

I look like a druggie.
I have needle marks on both my arms and cuts all up my right forearm.
I am so sick of never being well.
I hate having to miss work because i just can't get out of bed because it hurts.
Hopefully these tests i have to get done will find out exactly what's wrong with me.
It could be as simple as allergies or IBS or it could be Crones.
Whatever it is, it will explain my sudden intolerance to dairy & green apples (i know, right?)
AND it will mean i can not be sick for like, 40% of the year.

So while things in my life aren't completely awful, they are a bit messy and i'm in coping mode.
Why do you care? Wellll you don't. Or you don't have to. It just means that if you read my blog you'll get lots of songs for a while... and emo lyrics/quotes... and seemingly arbitrary.. well.. everything.

on a lighter note, summer is going to be amazing.

Beach mission is going to be super fun. can't wait for that.
Roadtrip dates have been cut a little because Anna has to be back by the 28th of Jan for work.
So we're leaving on the 18th and we're going to be spending a night or two in all the following places;
Tamworth, Tweed Heads, Byron Bay/Nimbin, Gold Coast, Laidley (Brisbane), & Orange. (Apparently there's a giant orange there. and you know how everyone loves giant stuff..)
I'm going to miss BDO by like, a day, which is a bummer because i got a ticket and everything!
But i know a few people who are dying to go so i won't have any issues selling it.
I'm waiting for Taking Back Sunday to announce a sideshow to their Soundwave appearance, because i've pretty much given up on getting a Soundwave ticket.... but they haven't announced one yet?! But Opeth have. Seriously, who gives a crap about Opeth...?! Give me TBS any day.

REPAIRING CURRENT VEHICLE vs BUYING NEW CAR

for the sake of this segment, current vehicle will be referred to as Car A.

- Would need to spend more than what Car A is worth to make it roadworthy.

- Repairs would involve major servicing, all new brake pads & discs yada yada..

- Plus a trip to the panel beaters to fix the bumper and rear panel so i can repair the connecting tail light (which is the unroadworthy bit) and then would need to look at the axles on rear right wheel coz it's squeaking at low speeds.

- Car A is not really worth fixing. It has over 290, 000kms & is most likely going to die in the next year.. without hope of resuscitation.

- But... Car A is my baby.

- It still works........ right?

- I just spent 400 bucks on new tyres for the damn thing.

- Car A would not be worth much to a wrecker/mechanic.. so what would I do with it if i bought a new one?

- Buying a new car would effectively cancel my overseas plans. Plus from what I can see that's within my budget.. i can only afford cars with relatively high kms anyway. But at least they're roadworthy i guess.

- Get license back this week. Can't really risk driving an unroadworthy vehicle.

Rego is due in November.

..so I need to make a decision. Soon.

i am a terrible patient.

Had a pasta & wine & movie night with Grace, we were sick & tired together... it was fun! Stayed up talking about names & weddings & jewelry with her & Bre - i've missed my housemates!! Yay for friends.

Oh & the movie we hired was The Boat That Rocked - it was hilarious! So glad i finally got around to seeing it. Great soundtrack too. There are no embed-able trailers on youtube so go look it up yourself if you haven't already seen it.

So I always plug these boys... so thought i'd share their news!

They managed to get enough votes to be one of 7 bands from around Australia to play at Big Exo Day in Sydney next weekend! Fun & exciting & hopefully lots of exposure for them.

I'm thinking I'm gonna go up and watch them play.. at least, i really want to.

I've known them since they started out & I know they're all popular and stuff now but they're my boys and i want to support them even if they don't really acknowledge it, you know? Whatever. If i can get a date for the weekend I'm going to go. You only live once :)
