Day 8

Apologies for my grumpy post yesterday..

It's funny, I haven't been looking at the dates, it was September 11th yesterday.

I mean, i knew coz it was Cladz's birthday but it didn't really click..
When the twin towers were hit, it was report day in year.. 10? I forget..
Mum & I were going to go to school but before that she had a meeting at someone's house.
I remember watching the TV while they were talking, and all i could see was the planes hitting the towers on every channel. Freaky.

So went to uni today, and there were (predictably) very few people there.
There were the folks that didn't go to Derek's farewell, plus me & Mambo..!
Errrr. I spent 2 hours on public transport for an hour and a half of NOTHING.
I fell asleep on the chairs while the slideshow was on.. good times.

Gyroscope at Ferntree Gully tonight!
Can't wait. A friend is going to drive me there, he's lovely.
Although i have to get to Ringwood station first.. somehow..
Because he lives in Croydon.. it's better if i go somewhere closer to him..
Not sure how i'm going to do that, spent so long on the trains today I'm not keen to take them,
but then buses are sooo bad when it's peak hour.. which it will be.
BLAHHH.

&& after the gig I think I'm heading into the city for Cladz's birthday celebrations, that should be good fun!!!
I don't know how i'll orchestrate the outfit change, but it will happen.

Sunday, I'm working til 10pm then going to go straight to the pub because Gyro are playing there as well.

So, all fun, but stressful trying to organise it all. Still no idea how i'm getting home tonight!

I am seriously missing my lisence. Getting to everything would be SO EASY if i had my car.

ALBUM OF THE WEEKEND:

'Intimacy' - Bloc Party

They killed the love with 'Weekend in the City,' i thought that was pretty average.
This album, however, blew me away. Amazing.
They've got a fresh take on their already pretty original sound, and i love it.
Favourite tracks are Halo, Ares, Trojan Horse and One Month Off.
