Day 17

ONCE UPON A TIME:

Last night was fun. 

The drawn-out, longer/later-than-expected kind of fun.

- Charm & I amusing ourselves at maccas.

Got about 4 hours sleep which was enough to make sure i had a great time at church..

Kind of felt like i was on the stage a fair bit.

I was on band, then we did an item & i was on drums..

Then i did a plug for the Walk Thru The Bible with my dad.

Nearly cried during one of the songs.

It was uncomfortable but cool.

Things have been so sucky lately.. 

But I haven't been taking my own advice & turning to God in those times.

I mean, i knew He was there, but I didn't think He could help? 

Stupid? Yes. But human.

So one of the songs Suey picked had these lines in it's chorus..

"& oh, how wide you open up your arms when i need your love 

& how far you would come if ever i was lost

You said that all you feel for me is undying love

That you showed me through the Cross.."

The first two lines killed it!!!!!!!!

I need His love, I can't function without it.

I've been sitting in my little corner, thinking the whole world is against me & God's probably part of that.. but He's the only one who enables me to get up and keep going in spite of the sucky parts of life.. So.. 'Thank ya Jesus!'

So that was a nice revelation.

Got to hang out with Hudson during the service - that boy is adorable..

"Santa brings holly and presents! i have boots see? This is my sister. I like light blue better. What's this colour? I'm going to go find my dad. I'm back now!"

During the AGM I ended up hanging with Jayden coz he was suuuper tired & wouldn't leave his Dad alone.. He was falling asleep on me & I couldn't feel my arms, but I wouldn't have given him up for anything :) so cute.  Kids are awesome.. then when he saw his mum I got to swap her for the new baby, SCORE.. haha.. I can't wait to be a mum. Or an aunty. Or a godmother. Anything.. i love babies :)

Saw my cousins for a little, they came round so we could give Tash her presents.. she's 4 now!

Then went to gospel! 

My parents wanted to check it out, so they came along - they said they liked it!

Saw a girl I kind of half know through beach mission & we danced. Fun times.

I love the atmosphere at that place, the guys/girl in the band are just insanely talented & seem to truly love what they're doing which makes it all the more amazing to listen to/watch.

I decided that I'm going to do something for my birthday this year, (20, ahh!)

This is only relevant because I had decided not to.. but i'm gonna issue an open invitation to come to Gospel Sundays the Sunday after my birthday.. just to hang out, relax, drink some wine & get some Gospel in.

I have a whole bunch of favourite songs that they do, but here's my pick for this week.

Beyonce recorded a version, from the Fighting Temptations soundtrack, it's called 'He Still Loves Me.'
