Day 157/162

THIS WEEK I..

- Went to Hawthorn West Baptist and sat on a couch instead of a normal chair during their service = (Y)
- Volunteered at a bushfire relief donation point in Brunswick *
- Met up with Kat for coffee
- Got fooled by a couple of people I thought I could trust *
- Went to a job interview at a cafe in Carlton on Tuesday & made a trial time for Friday
- Got sick
- Lost my voice *
- Went & hung out with Mum & Ren
- Got a cute dress from Kmart for $17. Bargain! (Actually, Mum bought it. But it was still a bargain!)
- Thoroughly enjoyed cooking for myself
- Went grocery shopping with my dear housies (always an interesting experience)
- Stayed sick (lame)

THIS WEEK I LEARNT THAT..

- My housemates really are a terrific bunch of people.
- I never realised how far you can stretch one onion.
- I suck at remembering anything without a diary.
- Hawthorn really is ridiculously close to things.
- I honestly do hate to be alone for long periods of time.
- I'm a little too trusting at times.. a lot of the time.
- It's really easy to catch trams without a ticket.. +gasp+
- Living with neat people can be awesome and frustrating!

NOTES:

On the bushfires: i've heard so many stories of loss and hurt and devastation.. it's hit so close to home and i'm still sort of reeling from how intense this situation is. There were fires not even 2km from my Mum & Dad's! Working at the relief centre was so encouraging.. so many people just walking past, dropping in fifties, tens, twenties..! There was one girl who couldn't have been more than 17 years old - she was crying super hard & told me that her mum's best friend lost ones of her children, a girl, and the other one has third degree burns...... :(

On friendships and relationships: I'm trying really hard to give this part of my life over to God.. Trusting people is way too easy and it's too often that people are not what I think they are. I'm not going to stop seeing the best in people, i'm just going to stop trusting them with my.. anything! Haha.. I'm funny :|

Having a man-voice: I HATE being sick, but my throat is the worst place to be unwell.. i've had a croaky voice and a sore throat for a week now and its the WORST!!!! That's my whinge. The end.

HAHA!
don't worry about sounding like a man. you don't look like one so you'll be fine.

As for untrustworthy friends, you should kick them in the balls or crush their ovaries.

See you on Friday.
